Headquartered in San Francisco, Double Dog Moto’s unique perspective on superbikes produces unique products. Double Dog’s founders are real engineers and road racers, with backgrounds in mechanical engineering, drafting, 3D modeling and construction.
Mark Henry, one of Double Dog Moto’s founders and an AFM racer displayed the performance products for Ducati he's been testing and tweaking throughout the 2009 AFM season and spoke passionately with visitors to the Cycle World San Mateo International Motorcycle Show. "I'm putting my butt on the line every race and putting my faith in these parts I've personally designed. But I can do that with confidence - not just because I'm an adrenaline junkie - but thanks to my many years as a mechanical engineer and all the development I've put in!"
AFM racer Steve Metz was on hand to relay his personal experience with Double Dog products installed on his 1198 racebike which he'll campaign in AFM Open Twins for 2010. Metz performed testing at Thunderhill Raceway November 8th. "I immediately noticed more midrange and was impressed with how much handling improved after installing just the 134DD exhaust". Metz ended the 2009 season 2nd in AFM Open Twins riding his Ducati 749R. "I can't wait to ride the new bike with even more weight reduction from the carbon fiber monocoque tail."
Both products are scheduled for delivery in February, 2010 and reduce weight by more than 20 lbs over the stock components.
In addition to the DD2R carbon fiber monocoque tail section and 134DD megaphone exhaust, Double Dog Moto also unveiled their DD Aerotech carbon fiber radiator grille designed to funnel more airflow to the Ducati’s oil cooler and radiator, and help protect against holing by stones.
